The office staff is friendly and Dr Rempala is a good dentist in terms of his skill. I was willing to overlook additional fees based on the fact that they have a high-tech environment and a great location. I was disappointed , however, by Dr. Rempala's arrogant and condescending manner and felt sorry for his staff who tip toes around him. Despite his pretentiousness, I went ahead with the treatment I needed based on reviews of his work. The quote provided was for 6 veneers, with the understanding that 1-2 crowns may be needed at NO extra charge (his offer, not my request). I prepaid several thousand dollars for the treatment, then was given a receipt at my f/u appt, showing a balance due to me of nearly $2500. He had billed my insurance for 2 crowns I received despite having promised that they would be "no extra charge!" The office mgr (his wife) was never "available" to process my refund and it took nearly 2 mos of calling to finally talk to Dr. R directly. He was shameless & refused to give me the refund. Bacially he billed my ins. co for work I already paid him to complete!! After threatening to involve attorneys, he reluctantly refunded $1200. To make matters worse, one of my crowns is slipping after less than 2 yrs.
