My son needed braces. We went to see about getting them on, only to find out that he had such bad over crowding that his teeth had been pushed nearly off the bone. As a result he had very thin gum tissue, not enough to hold the teeth in if they got moved with braces. Dr. Parsons was recommended to us. He did 2 separate gum graft surgeries on my 12 year old's mouth. My son was not even scared after the first few minutes, because the staff was so reassuring and gentle with him. A few months later he had the 2nd surgery with no apprehension at all,,,,,,he totally trusted Dr. Parsons, knowing that he felt no pain at all the first time. I myself then braved having a dental implant done........and I am a HUGE chicken. I had a tooth break off below the gum line. I had had a regular crown put in, but it kept coming out, as there wasn't enough tooth left to adhere to. Thus, I needed the implant, but was too afraid to do it until I had seen how great he was with my son. The entire office is extremely friendly. Everything is explained in great detail. My only complaint is that the cost is more than insurance covers, but that is true of my dentist and my children's dentists, also. I think it is more of an insurance problem!!!
