I made a terrible mistake becoming a patient of Dr.Hom's. I am in the process of dealing with a collection agency that she sent me to after I refused to pay for her office staff's mistakes. I am also having my insurance company investigate her activity... I started seeing Dr.Hom in January 2008. Her Office Manager at the time assured me that they were preferred providers of my insurance. This was either a blatant lie or they were so stupid that they didn't even know for whom they were a provider. After she did the dental work, I was informed that they were in fact not covered by my provider! I was then responsible for the hefty bill. HER OFFICE IS SO MESSED UP - SHE HAD WENT THROUGH AT LEAST 3 OFFICE MANAGERS IN THE 1 YEAR THAT I WAS DEALING WITH HER!!!! There was nothing more I could have done to confirm that she was a provider because when I called the insurance company, she was coming up as a provider --- FROM HER PREVIOUS PRACTICE!!!!! What a mess. She never even tried to work with me. I WAS A LOYAL AND WELL-PAYING CUSTOMER. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!! (Her dental work left something to be desired, too...)
