I have a job where I'm not covered by insurance. Usually doctors/dentists give a price break for the uninsured. Since I am uninsured, It had been a couple years since my last cleaning. Since it had been 2 years, I was charged for 2 cleanings. Ok, fine, np.
I don't mind a nervous temp cleaning my teeth. She politely explained she was a temp, and excused her stomach growling as she was cleaning my teeth. What does bother me, is DR. Anderson did not supervise the cleaning, like she supervised the X-Rays, Whitening, Gum measurements, and Bonding.
A temp? Didn't check the work? You kidding me? By checking, I mean with a pick to see if the tarter has been removed accordingly to the fee charged. Which btw it's not all gone. I have a hard time flossing a couple of my back teeth, due to tarter build up, along with other areas.
For 2 cleanings, 1 tooth bonding, X-Rays, and the inexpensive version of teeth whitening (sorry forgot the procedure name), I was charged $1,200.
Like I said, I don't have insurance, and feel I paid too much. I also don't think this dentist likes the cleaning aspect of dentistry. With any job, you got to take the good with the bad.
Needless to say, I won't be going back.
