A few years ago, my husband and I were regular patients of Dr. Davies' office. We encountered high pressure sales pitches for extensive and unnecessary work. It would seem that the dentists work on commission. I ultimately went through with some of the treatment recommended, specifically, a crown placed on a molar. I have experienced problems with this crown from the start which the dentist has blamed on adjacent teeth, however, I didn't have the problem before the crown was put in. Worst, however, was when my husband accidentally scheduled a routine checkup on a Saturday which conflicted with our son's swim lesson. We called ahead and asked if our daughter could go with dad to his appointment. Apparently, they changed their minds and i was called out of my son's parent-tot swim lesson to come get my daughter. Although she was not causing any trouble, they didn't want her back with dad or in the waiting room by herself. When i arrived, the office manager made a huge scene in front of many people, screaming at me to ask whether i thought the office was a daycare. She even went so far to march to the front door and pointed, yelling, asking if i thought the door read daycare. Astonished by this behavior, we all left.
