About Front Desk: Front office staff needs to be educated about several items. First, you cannot have a patient sign in sheet out front as it violates HIPAA guidelines. I would think all office would know this by now. Second, when I refused to have my 13 year old daughter sign the statement that she was not pregnant or her birth control would not be as effective, the front office staff became upset with me. I told her I refused to have my 13 year old sign it 3 times and she stated I had to. A minor child cannot sign a legal document. I as her parent refused and she was rude and very unprofessional about it. I think HIPAA training and rules would be very effective for your office. Also the staff in recovery were rude. They kept telling my daughter to shh and be quiet. She had just came out of surgery and was doped up on meds. It is not my fault you put two clients in the same room and then expect one to be very quiet so she will not "bother" the other one. This is what we were told. Lastly I received a bill for a large balance. After speaking to my insurance company I learned they had only receivd the claim about a week and half before. The billing lady was rude when I explained to her that it may take insurance more than 1 week to process my claim and send payment. Very unprofessional. Would NOT recommend them to anyone.
