My son had braces put on at this orthodontist since he was referred to me.
I am in pre-bankruptcy mode, and they are leaving the braces on until they receive the last thousand of five thousand that was alreasdy paid.
My son is upset as a result of being self-conscious and really wants the braces taken off since they said they are ready to be taken off.
The pity is that my misfortune is put ahead of my son's care.
The balance will be paid off in full within the next month but they are embarrasing me, my son and their own reputation, (whether they realize it or not). I would use a credible orthodontist that can allow for a payment plan that is affordable. Six Thousand for braces these days is much more than pre-recession. Other ortho's are much more understanding. My other son that also needs braces will be utilizing the services of a kinder provider.Aetna has a dental plan that pays for braces, (where out of pocket is maxed out at two thousand. So, in summary, have a good dental plan and choose a more reputable Orthodontist. Heather their person that handles their finances is as rude and nasty as they come! Good Luck in your better choice elsewhere...
