Very friendly office staff. The whole staff gets involved and tries very hard to make a new patient feel welcome. In my opinion they try a little too hard. My daughter is shy and can be slow to warm up to people, but everyone there was right in her face and did not give her a chance to warm up them. She ended up crying and wanting to go home. I told Dr. Katz that it wasn't going to happen that day and he said that it would if I wanted it to, that if I let my three year old call the shots all she would eat would be ice cream. Anyway, I was just trying not to make the dentist visit into a traumatic experience for my daughter. The doctor does take a lot of time to explain procedures and does not act like he is rushing off to the next patient, which is good, I just didn't feel comfortable with the overall experience.

My 8 year old daughter has been see katz for the last 3 years. I got the recommendation for D. Katz from a number of different sources. Katz is kind, considerate and gentle with her (she is very pain-shy). Katz's treatements has always been flawless. He takes an interest in every patient (and parent) and takes a lot of time to explain treatment options. My daughter has a lot of over-crowding and crooked teeth. Katz suggest we get at least three opinions from orthodonists (in addition to his) and then he would help us sort out the options. When we got 3 different recommendtions he suggested one or two more opinions would be good AND then he would sit down with my wife, daughter and I (for free) to work it out what we would do. He really cares about his patients (and parents!).

This is my son's dentist. Very chatty and goofy. Kids get a toy prize afterwards.

We have loved our experience so far with Dr. Katz and his staff. My kids are always relaxes during their visits.

We feel so incredibly fortunate to have finally found Dr. Katz and his office. This is the way a pediatric practice should be--he genuinely loves his job, and makes it a point to really connect with the children. He makes it clear that their comfort, their positive experience--and their dental health--are truly his priority. While our former pediatric dentist had all sorts of bells and whistles (nintendo in the waiting room, TVs at each chair), this was simply that practice's lazy way of distracting the kids without connecting with them. In Dr. Katz's office, the kids seem to look forward to coming because of their actual human treatment, the connection, the kindness, and the care, not the electronic distractions.

Wonderful with children, really wants them to have a positive experience. Always calls in the evening to make sure they are o.k.,
