Careless administrative errors and poor customer service from Dr Woos office have left me in a miserable situation. A recent 90 minute deep cleaning by Dr Woos assistant was delayed a couple months due to a series of careless administrative errors made by her staff:
First, although my insurance approved the cleaning with a $200 copay for me and $500 payment from them, when I arrived the receptionist insisted I agree to a $500 copay or leave immediately and pay a $50 cancellation fee. I left. The offices cancellation fee was cancelled several weeks later when they admitted their mistake.
Second, Dr Woos office had entered a typo in my address which prevented me from receiving a series of correspondence from her office and the insurance company.
A couple months later, Dr Woos office recognized and admitted their mistakes. I had told them I thought my employer-provided insurance was cancelled, but they called the insurance provider and told me it was still good.
A few weeks after the belated cleaning, Dr Woos office called to say the insurance had declined payment and that I owed them an additional $800. I sent a polite email to Dr Woo pointing out that if they had not originally tried to overcharge me and sent all the correspondence to the wrong address, the insurance would not have been declined. I received a terse reply stating that her office had specifically warned me that insurance can be declined even if a treatment is authorized. That is false. The reply also said they had left multiple voice mails for me during the time I was not receiving correspondence. False again, verified to Dr Woo with cell phone records showing no calls from her office during that time.
I was hoping Dr Woo could admit her responsibility for this unfortunate situation and work something reasonable out. Her offer to work something out was to suggest putting me on a payment plan. I feel Dr Woo is capitalizing on her offices mistakes my billing me a couple hundred dollars more than she would ever have received if they hadnt made them. And thats still hundreds more than I ever could have afforded!

Nice staff but extremely over price and they do things that aren't necessary. I went in to have a cavity fixed. The wanted to deep clean. Bill cost on my end with insurance....$900.00+ (Insurance covers 80%). They asked me to come in for another cleaning. Still have a cavity. In the past they would put temp fillings in my cavities as well, why not fix it all right there? When I go to the dentist I only want to come in once, not 6 times. Going to a different dentist to fix my cavity now. I just wish Dr.Woo would have fixed my cavity first before letting it get worse. I would have came back for all the cleaning. Also within a 3 month span my new crown by her came off twice. Each time I went to have her reapply she charged. Finally decided that removing the tooth would be better for my bank account

My family and I have been going to Dr. Woo since we moved into the area. She does incredible work and has been there for us for every tooth related emergency seeing us either same day or next. My husband just had a crown put in with fabulous results.
We give her the highest recommendation.

Stellar! Friendly, relaxing, supportive office atmosphere. Outstanding chair-side manner. Strong on preventive care. Reasonable cost for very high-quality work. Highly recommended!

Dr. Woo is a great dentist as is her new associate - Dr. Escobar. The office and dental facilities are modern and up to date. Her staff is well trained and very personable.

Dr. Woo is pleasant and seems competent enough, her office staff(namely Cindy, who deals with insurance) makes the experience one that I never want to repeat. However, I did go back a second time because I thought it might get better. Not, so. I was told (falsely so)that Dr. Woo was a part of my provider network,which she was not. Because of this the visit (a crown prep) cost a whopping $642.00 and that was supposedly 50% of the total, although, nothing is itemized. I called my insurance, confirmed that if I had gone to a provider in my network I would have had to pay less than $200.This was never communicated to me by Cindy, she also never mentioned the cost until it was time to pay.When I confronted her about this she said it was not her job to tell me what my insurance benefits were. Obviously, I cancelled all future appointments and will obtain a new dentist.

Front desk ignores patient's insurance plans and requires full payment and pre-payment for services not even rendered yet. Also charges astonomical fees. Front office files false ins claims as office requires pt to pay in full and tell pt that "once ins pays, we'll reimburse you" [but they really mean ..."after ins pays, we'll reimburse you with a CREDIT BALANCE." ] Very rude and abusive experience.

Fantastic Dr. and I love her assistants. Very Professional and modern Office.I pay cash and find her very reasonable

Dr Woo is worth a trip even if you are not local. She is just down the street from me, and hasn't been listed on insurance plans at previous employers. Doesn't matter-I'll pay out of pocket to see her.
She explains in detail what she plans to do in your mouth, long term and short term, giving the patient the ability to decide what is appropriate. If only I could find someone like this to work on my car!
She is quick and thorough. I never have to wait a long time to get an appointment in her office, and her staff is very skilled and pleasant. Her new digital x rays are great-no pain and so quick!
The quality of her work is excellent, and everything in the office is clean and comfy.
Couldn't ask for a better experience.
