I have had extensive dental work for the majority of my life. At 18 I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and many trips to the hospital delayed my plans for implants . The dentist I had been seeing did not understand and was very rude causing me to not see a dentist for way too long. When I went in for my implant consult I asked for a recommendation and Dr. Hess was specifically recommended to me due to my high sensitivity, nervousness and need to have stress free dental work. After meeting him and his hygienist Cara I could tell why. Both have a very friendly, comforting, and caring demeanor. I of course had a time frame in my mind as when I'd like to have my teeth ready for the implants to be done, but it was not enough time. I was very upset due to being in my best friends wedding. Dr. Hess found a solution and made me a temporary piece to wear so I could feel beautiful and not self conscious at the wedding and it was truely amazing, I've never smiled so much. While building up a broken tooth I was given sedation dentistry and it was the most comfortable dentistry I've ever had. The hardest part is the fact they don't process insurance, but every other single thing about them makes it totally worth it.

I've been to a handful of different dentists in Auburn, and I wouldn't go back to any of them except Dr. Hess. He's incredibly personable and easy to trust. I can appreciate every aspect of how he practices and how he runs his office. He uses top of the line technologies/equipment and every member of his staff is truly exceptional - from the hygienists to the fabulous Cynthia. I'm moving to Tacoma in the near future, but my husband and I plan to commute to Auburn to finish our treatment plans because we're both so pleased with our experiences with Dr. Hess and his office. So if you're looking for a 100% guaranteed good experience at the dentist, you have to go see Dr. Hess.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Hess and his staff. Let's start with the lady behind the desk. Cynthia is wonderful! My wife, 9 year old daughter and I love seeing her smiling face when we walk in the door. She always makes us feel welcome and like she's happy to see us. The same goes for our hygenists. We all have our favorites but they are all gentle, sincere and are particulaarly patient with our daughter. They're great! As for the good doctor, everytime he walks in and starts talking it feels like I'm having a friendly conversation with a longtime friend...who just happens to be a teeth expert. His care and professionalism are unrivaled. He is quick to give you a tip or explain why things are the way they are but I have never fealt talked down to. We've all heard scary stories about different dental experiences. You won't have any of that with Dr. Hess and his office. Our family and our friends know we couldn't be in better hands. I am an absolute dental chicken. Dr Hess and his staff provided me with the best possible care - including allowing me to make my choices without pressure about which proceedure to have.
I have already recommended Dr Hess and his staff to relatives and friends.
About Hygienist: Jen is the absolute best hygienist I have ever had in over 40 years of being a dental patient.

I have had Xrays, crowns, fillings, cleaning most were performed with nit/oxide. Every procedure was successful and recovery was minimal due to the skill and precision used by Dr. Hess as well as the hygenist and others. The staff is impressive, prompt and totally top shelf. Together with Dr. Hess, they are continuously expanding their knowledge and that of their patients, taking the Dental office experience into a positive and life changing event. The procedures and services they offer enhance life and self image, not only the physical body. This isnt an ordinary Dentist and he proves it with his ongoing education, he shows unsurpassed dedication and has developed a perfect environment to show his skills. I cant say enough about the botox, collagen, any of the cosmetic procedures, I have had phenominal results. I no longer go to my cosmetic surgeon for anything, honest fact is because Dr. Hess, by far, outperformed them. I didnt expect to have multiple issues taken care of by just the botox alone, but Im telling you, I was amazed. I just got back from Dr. Hess this morning, having had 2 dental procedures and a botox treatment, ALL IN ONE VISIT. Now that is what I call a time-management solution.
About Hygienist: The staff and hygenists, This is a perfect fit, the way they keep the atmosphere, you can just feel that this is the right place to be. Also note, they have got to be the best looking team I have ever seen, a living testimonial to the benifits of utilizing the fountain of youth available at Dr. Hess. I just saw the disclaimer bellow about 'cheating dentists' and i had to giggle because i am the least likely type of person to leave a review, let alone, such a positive one. Due to a phobia it took me a very long time to get into a dentist. Soon as I met Doc Hess and his staff I felt comfortable and great! My whole family has gone to him for every dental need for at least 10 years. We even chose him years ago when he wasn't even in our dental plan due to his chair side manner. His staff is all great and very warm and personable. I enjoy each visit now and even look forward to my next visit! I didnt think I could ever say that but over the years he has taken such great care of us and his gentle manner is infectious. I love his dental staff and how they interact with us and enjoy every visit! (I almost wish I could visit more often) Cynthia his office manager is a jewel and has great control over the place and she is always ready and eager to help. If you want a great dentist office for long term care of you and your family stop right here!

A tooth that had been sensitive only on occassion suddenly became extremely painful. I am leaving on a 3 week vacation to Europe in a couple of days, so it was terrible timing. Dr. Hess was SO wonderful. He offered to see me on his day off, traveling some distance to come to his office. I am SO grateful as I was in a lot of pain and very worried that my trip would be ruined. Thank you Dr. Hess and Kara. You are GREAT!

Dr. Hess did a crownand a veneeron my front teeth. the color match was perfect and I have the best smile I have had for years. Dr. Hess is up to date on latest proceedures, very freindly, younger dentist. Best since my older dentist Dr. Nelson retired. My two boys (now 15 and 12) are happy and my wife is happy with the service we recieve there. Great with kids.
About Hygienist: I have seen 3 different hygiensts (due to vacations) in the last 6 years and they haveall been great, careful and fun to talk to ( when I can). I go every 6 months because it needs to be done and I like the people who are there. They make the experience enjoyable.

Excellent, caring dentist who stays current in his area of practice. Unfortunately I've got teeth that have required frequent care so I can attest to his quality of care and concern. I'm in family practice and recommend him to my patients who are looking for a dentist. His staff are also excellent and caring. They make you feel welcome and never a bother, even when it's an urgent visit.

Dr. Hess has been a most excellent Dentist. Not only is he very personable, he has an obvious love for his work ,or should I say "Art". I have not once had to come back for an adjusment after a filling or crown. I don't see how my dental care could be improved on.
About Hygienist: Jennifer is very gentle and thorough. She too is obviously there to insure that you receive the best care possible.
