He is really a great dentist all around. I have a TMJ problem and even though the treatment i am under isn't working too well he is always very knowledgeable about where we can go from there. He is always very kind and really cares about his patients. Every time i know that he is really there to help me and make my smile better and the pain with my jaw less. I feel very comfortable when i am getting treatment there and around Dr. Rene Piedra because he really knows what he is doing and truly wants to help. Also being a frequent patient i always feel that he wants to help me and not just doing his job. i am very pleased with the service i receive from Dr. Rene Piedra and from the staff at Westwood Dental.

Dr. Rene Piedra's office is the best Dentist I have ever been too! Friendly staff, clean office. Everyone there puts you completely at
ease. I had a very pleasant experience and would recommend Dr. Rene Piedra to anyone. The hygienists are super nice and always smiling.
They do an excellent job of explaining what they're doing as they work on you. The receptionists were very cheerful, friendly, and helpful,
even for my 7:30 am appointment! They are very high tech there, all of which they hope will make your dentist visit more enjoyable and
comfortable. I'm grateful there are wonderful dentists like Dr. Abbott around

My name is Chris. I had been playing ice hockey my whole life, and had bad teeth. I never used to smile because my teeth were ugly. I came to Dr. Rene Piedra and my life has been changed. I had to learn how to smile again, but that was a small price to pay. The staff was/is the best. They always seem genuinely happy to see you, and help you. I was always scared to come to the dentist and tried to get away with not coming. I now have a beautiful set of teeth. I couldnt recommend any stronger for someone to come and get their smile fixed. It is so worth it.

I would like to shatre that although dentist offices tend to run on the expensive side, I really feel like Im getting my moneys worth here. My gums are getting pink again. It feels great to smile once again and not be embarrassed.
I still have a long road to travel, but its nice to see some results early in the game. That way it motivates me to keep moving forward to a speedy and successful recovery.
The motivation is backe and , I am now obsessive about brushing and flossing. I cant eat a single thing now without having the drive to brush it right off, loving it!
Hopefully your success letter will follow soon after this note. Keep up the good work and thank you Claudia, and the rest of the gang, for all their help, love, and care during my recovery.

I used to be absolutely petrified of anything concerning a dentist. I ignored pain in my mouth because I was so scared of the drills and the pain. I am very sensitive and do not handle pain well, and do not get numb. Ive had horrible experiences at the dentists, and because of that, I put off going for 3½ years.
When I heard the ad for sedation dentistry on the radio I was still scared and pessimistic about its results so I ignored it and even would change the station until the ad was over.
But when the pain became the most unbearable and brought me close to tears on more than one occasion, I actually listened to the ad and got the phone number.
I called and talked to incredibly nice and helpful people. I met Dr. Piedra, and he is the first dentist Ive ever met and not been afraid of. He is unlike any dentist Ive ever met: very warm, nice, and doesnt make me feel embarrassed about the amount of work that needs to be done. I have yet to encounter any pain, and that is a huge relief to me.
For the first time ever, I walked away from the doctor with a smile on my face.

Watch out for this guy. He is all about getting you to get a Care Credit card and charging for services way in advance of work. When work was done, what was actually done was much different than the "treatment plan" initially signed for. Bottom line is that a Root canal and porcelian crown was $2100.00 and a two sided filling cost the same. When questioned about the cost a lower level college kid tells you all the prices were orginally wrong, You never get to see Rene again after he gets your money. Have been fighting with Care credit since Sepetember with no result, all matter must be done via mail and much of the mail seems to get lost.

I had started treatment with this doctor before he became all "Famous"
The minute his practice grew I stopped seeing him. I have not had any treatment success and he got his money. Almost 10,000 dollars later (out of my pocket) I am looking at being forced to spend another 6k more. I was promised a credit for the treatment that I PAID for and didnt work. Now they dont remember saying that and refuse to pay me back.
This has been the WORST experience of my life. If I would take ever going there back, I would. I wish I would have never gone to this office and met this doctor. Worst and most expensive mistake of my life!

I went in for a routine cavity filling and my tooth has never been the same since! They could not even fill my tooth correctly and I have had numerous problems since then! On top of that, they billed me for procedures that were NEVER PERFORMED! Try getting them to refund your money.....IT WON'T HAPPEN! PERIOD! This office is filled with inept individuals who barely speak English! I have finally tried to get ,my dental records, in order to switch dentists, and they will not allow me to have my own files!

Dr. Piedra is a very charismatic fellow who makes you feel quite comfortable, but he is only the face of the operation. This place is a mill. The business practices of this company are unethical, bordering on criminal.
I went to this dentist in order to get a crown fixed. I was told that replacing my crown would cost a total of about $2000. I opened up a "Care Credit" account to pay, at their urging. After a couple of preliminary procedures, I was told that the post holding my original crown in was broken and that I needed to go to a specialist.
I suspect that the dentist who worked on me broke the post, because Dr. Piedra and other dentists took dozens of X-Rays and did not notice that the post was broken.
In any case, I visited a specialist, and decided to have a different dentist deal with the rest of the procedure, so I went to Dr. Piedra's office to close out my account there.
They held me in a room for an hour, repeatedly questioning me as to why I wanted to leave.
Finally, I was able to pay off my partial balance onto my credit card. They told me that they would refund the Care Credit account and that I wouldn't have to make payments. THEY HAVE NOT REFUNDED THIS MONEY AND IT HAS BEEN TWO MONTHS.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
