I used another dentist at this practice for nearly 2 years. I found he had left when I came in for my visit so Dr. Friedman addressed my issue. He gave me a Novocain injection, I don’t know if he hit a nerve or if the area was just sensitive, the accompanying pain was great. I yelled out (once) and tears began to flow down my face. He told me – be quite, and that I was disturbing his other patients – ( Mind you I had just yelped the one time) I told him I was not happy with his response to me. He told me that he had been a dentist for over xx number of years and that I was over reacting. I was shocked by his response. His tone was very condescending. I got out of the chair, still in pain, tears rolling down my face and left the office. Please note I left in the middle of the procedure. There was no way I was going to stay one more minute and allow that arrogant and insensitive man to touch me again. A friends dentist was nice enough to see me later that day and resolve my issue.

My husband and I went to this practice for over 15 years.
Together we spent at least $60K of which $32K
was for implants and crowns for myself a few years ago. I had
had a seizure then but was not on meds. The last few years
I went for 2 yearly cleanings with Karen. Recently I had another
seizure and now am on clonazepam. My neurologist has stressed
that I carry a card in my wallet and each of my purses because
there is a 5 page sheet of drugs that should not be given to
patients with epilepsy. One page each for pain and antibiotics
I was told that one of my implants has failed and that the
crowns/bridgework would have to be pulled out and the
implant removed. I was nervous and started
to ask one question how he was going to do this. He went into
a rant and rage. Not professional .Terrible horrible temper
.
. I then asked him if he was aware
that 8 months ago I had another seizure and was now on
clonazepam and that there was a list. He flew off the handle
pulled off my bib, yelled at me and told me to leave his office
immediately. I was stunned. What kind of doctor cares so
little for a patient that he has treated for years, spent so much,
and does not care to update the meds on their chart. Beware
of him Beward

He is an arrogant and pompous individual who spent no more than 3 minutes with my child. He never addressed her discomfort with the appliance and was very rude to me as well. I had been a patient at Saw Mill Dental for 30 years and had never been treated so poorly.
DId you know he is not a certified orthodontist? He is a periodontist and caused more harm to my child's mouth. When we left the practice, the new orthodontist could not beleive how awful her mouth looked and she had seen x-rays from before she was treated by Dr. Friedman. My childs mouth was blistered and bleeding. We have been with her new orthodontist for 8 months and could see a difference in just a few months.
Do your research and choose someone that cares about your child, not his pocket.

About Hygienist: My hygienest is wondeful, but was told that she was only allowed to spend 45 minutes on a paitent and 1 hour if she was taking x-rays.

My kids did not like him and did not want to enter the consult by themselves. Once I started coming in with them I learn why. He was careless and rude. He made my 11 year old cry and recoil. When I said something the said he could not be more gentle. He did not ask her what was hurting. The retainer had sharp edges that were digging in her palate. When I said that I would not be continuing the treatment with him, he left the office, did not finish fixing the retainer and let the assistant finish the job. Very unprofessional and immature. Good Ridance!
