Do not go here, this is the most crooked dental office that I have ever been to. They will try to scam you- it may not be on your first appointment but they will. Dr. George should spend less time playing dress up, chatting with his hygienists and receptionist, and running personal errands between patients and more time properly examining his patients mouths. The hygienist needs to spend less time making balloon animals and more time checking to see what is included with a patient’s insurance before doing something to the patient that is not covered by insurance without asking first. Even when you visit the billing office after your appointment and you are told that your balance is $0 for a standard dental cleaning (covered by my insurance every 6 months) expect to receive a bill sometime in the next 10+ months for a random charge that is conveniently ‘not covered’ by insurance such as giving your toddler fluoride without asking (because it’s ‘not covered by insurance’)or adding on a ‘Covid office cleaning’ charge that they expect for the patient to pay when insurance won’t cover it because it is so ridiculous. It is super unprofessional to be billing patients over 10 months after their appointment anyways.

About Hygienist: I have had perfectly healthy teeth for 32 years and I have never had a cavity. Dr. George tried to tell me that I need multiple fillings and crowns when I still do not have any cavities- also these are conveniently ‘not covered’ by insurance. The hygienists should not be trying to use tools on patients that they cannot operate and do not understand how to properly use. It is super unprofessional to call in another coworker to ask them how to use the diagnodent when a patient is in your chair. It also doesn’t seem convincing that you have ‘tooth decay’ when the dentist and the hygienist keep getting completely different numbers on the same tooth. It is also super unprofessional to make the patient wear googles in the chair so that they don’t get sprayed in the eyes with water- the hygienist should be able to aim/operate the sprayer better to not get it anywhere near the patients eyes.

I'm usually not the one to write reviews, but I had to support this team! I've seen several dentists in my life, Dr. Atchley is the kindest, most professional, and knowledgable practitioner. As long as I live in Nashville, I will choose Dr. Atchley to take care of this smile! I highly recommend if you're not currently 100% happy with your current dentist, go see the team at Dr. Atchley's office. Not only is Dr. Atchley fantastic, but the entire staff is friendly, intelligent, and accommodating.

I've been a patient of Dr. Atchley for quite some time and I must say he is "Top of the Line" all the way! I appreciate the way he takes time to discuss my situation, answer questions and thoroughly explain whatever the proceedure may be. This doctor and his staff are some of the most professional people in the dental business. Everyone is warm, caring and friendly, they make you feel as if you're the only person in the world. I've had quite a bit of dental work done at this office over the years, including beautiful veneers, a couple of crowns and several fillings...all his work is exceptional. As long as Dr. Atchely is practicing dentistry, I will be one of his loyal patients. I must also mention the office decor, it's absolutely beautiful with a very relaxing, soothing environment. And, this doctor is "On Time" for your appointment, I've never had a long wait, his staff obviously knows how to handle his schedule.

Dr. Mike is in a class of his own. His staff is wonderful and very sweet. He is there day or night for me, and I appreciate his caring in the office as well as out of the office. How nice it is to have your dentist follow up with you at home in the evening after a day appointment....just to make sure your ok! He has a great personality, and very handsome too! Everyone on his staff is awesome. Can you tell I like him? Teresa is the best dental hygienist I have ever been to and very sweet. They all make you feel at home and would bend over backward to help you with anything!

Dr. Atchley came recommended to us by a friend when we moved here ten years ago. I can say we could not be more pleased. He is one of the kindest, most authentic persons I've ever met. Competent and trustworthy also come to mind when I think of our doctor. And I cannot say enough about his wonderful support staff. You quickly feel like friends more than you do clients. When anyone asks for a dentist referral I am always happy to suggest Dr. Atchely's office.

Michael is without a doubt the best in the area... He is very knowledgable and stands behind his work 100 %. He is great guy and has a wonderful chairside manner. He's a very concerned and consciencious doctor, and person as well!

Besides being one of the nicest guys I've ever met, he is the most professional and competent dentist around. He stays current with the most recent innovations in dentistry and he guarantees that if I see him at least once a year I will never have to have more than just minor fillings. So far he has followed through on his part. He also has the nicest and most professional hygenists working for him as well. Dr. Mike rules!
