First I waited ten minutes for the receptionist so I could check in, during which I time I called the office only to listen to the phone ringing. Just before giving up and leaving the receptionist appeared and I was immediately taken back for my appointment, which momentarily made up for the wait.
In the dentist chair, without a word, the hygienist began scraping around in my mouth. This was extremely messy and painful. After a few minutes she got up and left the room; this happened about four times without explanation. Going back to my mouth she explained that she would only be doing 1/4 of my teeth, and gave "time" as her only reason.
Before deciding I would never return I tried to schedule the next 1/4 of my cleaning, which was a horrendous failure. I continually told the receptionist when I was available, and she kept offering me times which didn't match. I finally gave up and took a time I couldn't make just to shut her up and I figured I would just cancel it later.
Knowing my insurance covers 100% I asked if I owed anything, just to make sure. I was assured that my insurance covered everything and I was set. Today I recieved a bill for several services I didn't receive, and the ones I did.
I'm insulted, and I'm done.

Her assistant did my cleaning. She is very nice and gave me suggestions on my impacted wisdom teeth... recommended!

Good job with a crown. Some hygeinists are better than others. I agree with other reviews about the front desk staff being less than ideal--some billing errors and not especially friendly. Dr. Fukuda herself is personable and professional. I appreciate that she does not push unnecessary procedures and services. By the way, a Couger fan might feel put off by all of the Husky paraphernalia in her office!

Dr Fukuda was my dentist for a long time. I finally left her practice because they ran so behind. I switched to another dentist, who spotted a hole in one of my fillings. (I think it was a filling Dr Fukuda did herself, but it was many years ago so I'm not certain.) This hole went from the top then down the side of my filling. The new dentist had to drill out and replace the filling. Once he got the old filling out he showed me with the mirror the very gross decay that had been growing for years underneath the old filling. He had to drill that out too, meaning I lost more of my tooth. For years, Dr Fukuda and her hygenists had been putting one of those dental picks in that hole and tugging on it. Every time I felt them do that I thought it was an uneven spot on the filling that their pick was just catching on. I asked one of them once and she said something like, "oh, it's just a little place on your filling." No one ever said, "it's a HOLE in your filling, we need to fix that." Not once in all that time. Also, I rated Customer Service as poor because the receptionist can be hard to deal with and mishandled our billing at times.

I have been very pleased at the quality of the work and long term results. Dr. Fukuda and her staff are one of the best dentists I have ever been to.

Dr. Fukuda has treated my whole family for nearly 15 years. She and her staff are professional, compassionate, and efficient. Dr. Fukuda has been very ethical and honest, and has not attempted to market services to us, and not performed work that she deemed unnecessary.

Dr Fukuda is an excellent dentist. Superb. I have gone to her for 14 years. She is conservative in her recommendations yet thorough in her treatment. She is honest and trustworthy, and I really like her as a person. I just wish she had a better staff. The quality of the hygenists varies--some are great, others seem to give only a superficial cleaning, and talk more than they clean. Her office staff person is sometimes rude and inattentive in her work, making basic errors that she seems to not able to grasp--so much so that we have given up on even bringing up mistakes when they happen. Sometimes the wait is long--we have waited 30 minutes and longer sometimes, which of course means we have to stay at work late. However, Dr Fukuda is so terrific that we keep on going there.

The quality of the hygenists varies; some of them talk a lot more than they clean. Some of them seem very thorough in their technique and others seem to do only a superficial cleaning. The office staff person is intattentive in her work, and has made basic errors that she has had a hard time understanding, so much so that we don't even bring them up anymore, and sometimes she's a bit rude. Sometimes the wait is 30 minutes or more, making us have to work late to make up the time. If you just need regular cleanings, you might want to look around for a more efficiently-run office. But if you need any dental work done, Dr Fukuda is excellent. I've been going to her for about 14 years.

Dr Fukuda is the best dentist my family has used, She does very nice work. Her staff is very caring and professional
